1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using Zawāj, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Zawāj. By using the app, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

3. Account Responsibilities

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You agree to provide accurate and truthful information in your profile
• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

4. Acceptable Use

When using Zawāj, you agree to:

• Communicate respectfully with your partner
• Provide honest and thoughtful responses to questions
• Not use the app for any unlawful purpose
• Not harass, abuse, or harm another person
• Not impersonate any person or entity
• Not submit false or misleading information

5. Partnerships & Chaperones

Partner Connections

• Partnerships require mutual consent from both parties
• Either partner may disconnect from a partnership at any time
• Your responses are only shared with your partner after both of you complete your daily questions

Chaperone Supervision

• Either partner may invite a chaperone to supervise their partnership
• Chaperone invitations require approval from the other partner before being sent
• Chaperones can view both partners' responses only after both partners complete their questions
• Either partner may request removal of a chaperone, which requires the other partner's approval
• Chaperones may leave a partnership they are supervising at any time

6. Content Ownership

You retain ownership of the responses and content you submit through Zawāj. By submitting content, you grant Zawāj a limited license to store and display your responses to your partner as part of the app's functionality.

7. Intellectual Property

The Zawāj app, including its design, questions, features, and content (excluding user-submitted content), is owned by Zawāj and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our permission.

8. Disclaimers

• Zawāj is a communication tool and is not a substitute for professional relationship counselling or therapy
• We do not guarantee any specific outcomes from using the app
• The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We are not responsible for the content of responses submitted by users

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Zawāj shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the app.

10. Termination

• You may stop using Zawāj at any time
• You may delete your account directly from Settings in the app
• Account deletion permanently removes your profile, answers, and pending partner requests
• We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms
• Upon termination, your right to use the app ceases immediately

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be reflected in updated versions of the app. Your continued use of Zawāj after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
